Let The Wild Bay State Senate Rumpus Begin! (Dems Go Airborne Edition)

The scramble for the U.S. Senate set vacated by Secretary of State John Kerry (D- Hey Theresa – I Have My Own Plane Now) has officially hit third gear with the release of TV spots by the Democratic primary contenders.

Rep. Stephen Lynch (D-Wanna See My Union Card?) just debuted this ad:

Rep. Ed Markey (D-Hellacious Combover) has countered with this spot:

Stephen Lynch’s working-class parents vs. Ed Markey’s Charlton Heston windup doll.

Excellent throwdown.

  1. Laurence Glavin's avatar Laurence Glavin says:

I saw both commercials ALMOST back-to-back on “Jeopardy!” last night First came Lynch”s spot, then a spot for a furniture store or auto dealer (nearly all local spots on Boston broadcast TV stations are for furniture stores or auto dealers) then the Markey commercial. My first thought after seeing Markey’s message: did he or his ad agency get clearance from the Heston estate or even the NRA before using that image? Laer in the evening, Markey’s commercial was inserted into either the Rachel Maddow Show or “The Last Word wiiith Lawrence O’Donnell” on MSNBC, inserted by Comcast/Xfinity no doubt. I haven’t noticed any Lynch commercials on cable yet.
