Celts Can Take The Heat

All together now: Whiskey Tango Foxtrot!

Admit it, none of you – none – predicted that the Boston Celtics would be up 3-2 after Game Five of the NBA’s Eastern Conference Finals. Most of you (and when I say you, I mean me too) thought they’d be gone in five.

But the Miami Heat seem to lack the toughness to match their talent. They certainly lack the toughness of this year’s Celtics squad. And so the Heat face elimination in what will undoubtedly be a foaming-at-the-mouth Boston Garden on Thursday.

Whiskey TD Foxtrot!

P.S. I cleaned my refrigerator during the game. As the hardworking staff has previously noted, when I clean the fridge (or do other household chores) during playoff games, good things happen for Boston sports teams. But it only works once a season.

http://kwtf.net/ Yes, that’s a real radio station that received an actual “licence” (according to their Home Page )from the FCC. (Look, look…spell check is displaying its wavy red line of death for spelling it that way)

Trust me on this one, your hard working staff might have convinced you that cleaning out the fridge helps our teams win big, but I can do you one better.

I am pretty sure our teams only win when something is going massively horrible in my personal life.

    To wit

2001 – Patriots win Super Bowl – I loose close friends that day in New York

2003 Patriots win Super Bowl my lupus decides to come out of remission and clean my clock I apply for and get disability

2004 – Red Sox win first world series in 86 years, My husband asks for a divorce

2004 – Patriots win Super Bowl – my divorce gets nasty

2007 – Red Sox win second championship Lupus gets lonely decides to invite cancer to the party. I will be in and out of hospital for chemo and multiple surgeries lasting until 2010

2008 – I loose my home to foreclosure – it’s hard to pay medical bills in the 6 figures and still pay a mortgage. – Celtics win

2011 – My father dies – Bruins win the Stanley Cup. That might be a gimme because George Brown was his godfather.

On May 10th my beloved service dog and faithful companion Byron dies. If the Celtics win I am going to be very pissed.
