Campaign Outsider’s Fearless Michigan Prediction (pat. pending)

With the polls (not to mention Rick Santorum) all over the place, it’s hard to say what will happen in the Michigan primary today.

Then again, hard is the hardworking staff’s middle name. Or something . . .

Anyway, our pick:

Mitt Romney (R-Am I the Right Height?) by five.

Just get the feeling Santorum’s driven the Crazy Train one stop too far.

  1. The media spent the last two weeks putting Santorum (R – Our Lady of Perpetual Darkness) on the crazy bus and Mitt (R – Loafer in Mouth) back on top.

Even if he ekes out a plurality, what does it say about Mitt Romney’s candidacy that he couldn’t achieve a strong win from this state? I think anything other than a big (7 – 10 points) win is a major loss and embarrassment for Romney, and further evidence of his weakness as a candidate.

DXXXVIII at the NY Times has wimped out and declared the race too close to call.
