C’mon, Mike, be fair: I’ve done very little smirkin’, since as a Made Yankee Fan in Boston I carry more baggage than a Red Cap.
Just curious. What were the Orioles celebrating last night after defeating the Sox? It looked like they won a berth in the playoffs, instead of nothing but the last game of the regular season. Were they that happy they won? Was it because they helped keep the Sox out of the playoffs? With the season they had, they should have breathed a sigh of relief at winning a game.
My guess? The O’s just like beating the smug son of a bitches.
Even after listening to thew babbling of sports talk radio and TV news today, I don’t think the Sox are any more smug than most of the rest of the overpaid, pampered players in the game today.
