All Facebook just published 10 Little Known Facts About Boston Facebook Users (tip o’ the pixel to mediabistro).
Among the fun facts to know and tell:
In contrast to the more than 31 percent of Boston University [Facebook] users that stay in Boston [after graduation], only 17 percent of Harvard grads stay in Boston for any period of time.
Go Terriers!
But more interesting was this fun fact:
It’s a pretty well known fact that people in Boston love their Red Sox. Despite the fact that the Yankees often crush the team [uh, were you alive in 2004?], Boston citizens are among the most avid baseball fans in the nation. As such, it’s not surprising to see that 10% of the Facebook Users who live in Boston are fans!
10 percent?
Does that seem like a lot to you?
It sure doesn’t to me.
Postscript: The hardworking staff, never satisfied with mere opinion, checked All Facebook for 10 Little Known Facts About New York Facebook Users.
It wasn’t there.
There are more listeners for radio stations broadcasting the games of losing teams in smaller markets than for the Red Sox’s flagship station:

Yeah, and they’re not doing so hot on the TV front either:

The Red Sox will be luck if they split the Bronx series this weekend.
I dunno, Christian – this edition of the Yankees makes me kinda nervous.
Make that “lucky.”
