Via Politico’s Playbook:
This is the Romney campaign’s third TV spot claiming Barack Obama removed the work from workfare, which every fact-check site has labeled untrue.
To be sure, the Obama campaign is doing its fair share of lying as well. See this Wall Street Journal editorial for one example.
Bottom line: There is no bottom to this well.
With the bifurcated media, neither side ever has to talk to anyone who will truly question them. In the old days you’d have to go on the network Sunday shows and answer to journalists representing “the middle.” Now? Never. So there’s no rules.
It’s interesting to ponder in what ways a campaign could actually get the ear of the other side’s voters now.
