(Yes I realize that was a snarky party label, but at least you could make it an accurate snarky party label.) He ran for Senate in 2006 and won as a candidate of the “Connecticut for Lieberman” party.

Notice, it’s not the “Lieberman for Connecticut” party. It’s apparent that Joe doesn’t represent Connecticut, he only represents the insurance companies based there.
